Bio

Piotr Hadyna is a screenwriter, a graduate of the Łódź Film School, and a graduate of editing and film studies at the Jagiellonian University.

Piotr co-wrote the screenplay for the short film POLAR BEARS, which won the Best Debut Award at the 63rd Kraków Film Festival in 2023, as well as a distinction and the Interia Award at the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. He is also the co-writer of the screenplay for another film directed by Bartosz Stankiewicz, MY SECRET CYBERLOVE, which won the Journalists’ Award at the Young and Film Festival in 2024.

Piotr is the winner of the main award in the Script Pro competition, where his script KNEBEL was recognized in 2020. Another of Piotr’s original screenplays, TAJSA, won first prize in the inaugural edition of the WYOBRAŹ SOBIE competition and the Script Scholarship from the Starak Family Foundation. This project also reached the finals of the Script Pro competition in 2023. A year later, he won an award in the second edition of the feature film script competition organized by the Polish Film Institute.

His scripts have reached the finals not only of the Script Pro competition but also of Script Wars and Script Fiesta.

Currently, Piotr is developing projects with directors such as Paweł Maślona, Jacek Filipiak, Piotrek Matejkowski, and Bartosz Stankiewicz, with whom he has been collaborating for years.
