Ola Hulbój

Bio

Ola Hubój is a screenwriter and director trained at two of Europe’s prestigious film institutions — the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź, the Andrzej Wajda Film School in Warsaw.

Her short film DEAD MARRIAGE — for which she wrote the screenplay — won Best Student Film at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and Best Short Film at the Oscar-qualifying Kraków Film Festival, among other international honors. Her follow-up short, LAST FILM BEFORE THE END OF THE WORLD, screened at the New Horizons International Film Festival and the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. In 2021, she received an honorable mention for Best Direction at the international Papaya Young Directors competition.

She is currently developing the series WE ARE STILL HERE selected MIDPOINT Series Launch 2025, and projects for major streaming platforms in Poland.
