Dawid Nickel



Born in 1988 in Kędzierzyn – Koźle, Poland. Graduate of Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice and Wajda School in Warsaw.  

In his original work, Dawid focuses on telling the stories of characters who are perceived in a stereotypical way due to their sexual orientation or social position. His first feature LOVE TASTING was awarded the top prize at the Polish Film Festival in the micro-budget section.

Dawid gained experience working with such directors as Małgorzata Szumowska („Body”, „Mug”), Łukasz Ronduda („All Our Fears”), and Jan Kidawa-Błoński.

2023 is the year of the premieres of his latest productions: FILIPKA, a short documentary about his queer and gender-fluid friend, and high-budget tv series for HBO Max, #BRING BACK ALICE.
