Bio

Michał Łuka is an experienced director of photography for both commercial and cinematic projects. He specializes in advanced cinematography techniques for CGI and VFX productions.

Michał worked on Netflix’s animated miniseries THE LIBERATOR (dir. Grzegorz Jonkajtys), which was created using the new and unique Trioscope technique. He also shot the feature drama “Prime Time” (dir. Jakub Piątek), which was produced by Watchout Studio and premiered at Sundance.

Two of his international films premiered in 2017, including Bollywood thriller ITTEFAQ directed by Abhay Chopra and feature-length documentary CALL ME TONY directed by Klaudiusz Chrostowski. ITTEFAQ was distributed internationally – the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and China. CALL ME TONY premiered during the DOK Leipzig Festival and was screened at the world’s leading documentary film festival, the International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam (IDFA), where it received the ARRI Award.

Michał has also served as DOP on numerous commercials and music videos. He has created content for international brands such as McDonald’s, Nike, Lovela, Ted Warsaw, and more.
