Bio
Jan Grobliński is a cinematographer whose visual sensibility blends a filmmaking background with a passion for sport. A graduate of the Cinematography Department at the Łódź Film School, he has shot dozens of narrative, documentary, and commercial projects in Poland and abroad (including Haiti, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, and Austria). His work combines documentary sensitivity, disciplined composition, and a distinctive command of light.
He served as director of photography on the feature documentary “Lewandowski Unknown” (Amazon Prime, 2023) and the short film “Dancing in the Corner” — premiered and awarded in the Semaine de la Critique section at the Cannes Film Festival (2024). His shorts and films have been screened at Camerimage and the Gdynia Film Festival.
In advertising, he has worked with brands including Dacia, 4F, PKO BP, Sephora, USP Zdrowie, Huawei, Head & Shoulders, Cartoon Network, RTV Euro AGD, and PKP PLK S.A.
He values collaborative dialogue with directors and producers, combining creativity with responsibility on set. Off set, he loves Łódź, art history, and football — he competed for Widzew Łódź for ten years. Piet’s Mondrian composition and color inspire his approach to image. He lives in an old house in the suburbs and drives youngtimers.
