Greta Griniūtė

Bio

Greta Griniūtė is a writer and director with a passion for comedy. Born in Lithuania, Greta spread her wings after high school when she moved to the UK to study physical theatre and acting.

After receiving a scholarship to study cinema in Los Angeles, Greta went on to write and direct her first short film TICKLE MY PICKLE which has been screened at festivals worldwide including LA Shorts as well as winning Best Film at ARFF Berlin 2019.

In 2020 Greta completed her MA in Directing Fiction at Goldsmiths University of London and her short, RICE & BREAD, made during this time was selected to premiere at both the London Short Film Festival and POFF Shorts in 2020. Now she’s involved in post-production of her next short MAMA, I AM IN LOVE WITH PAMELA ANDERSON which was commissioned by Spanish production company Falca and is scheduled to premiere in 2023.

Currently, Greta is busy working on the script for her debut feature film INDEPENDENT CHILD, which in the Spring of 2021 was workshopped at the prestigious Torino Next Film Lab and currently is under development at the Mediterranean Film Lab.
