Bio

A screenwriter with a degree in French and English Philology from the University of Warsaw, she also studied directing at the Gdynia Film School and completed the Script Course at the Wajda School & Studio.

She co-wrote the screenplay for GREEN BORDER with Agnieszka Holland and Maciej Pisuk, directed by Agnieszka Holland (in collaboration with Kamila Tarabura and Katarzyna Warzecha). The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it was awarded the Special Jury Prize and received several other honors, including a nomination for the European Film Award. It also won the Golden Lions at the 49th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.

In 2020, she won the main award in the audio category at the Script Pro screenwriting competition for her audio drama THE INCOMPETENT produced by Storytel.

Gabriela is a member of the European Film Academy, the Polish Screenwriters Guild, and the Polish Film Academy.

She believes that the most valuable gift people can give one another is telling stories.
