Ewa Mroczkowska

Bio

Production designer for cinema, theatre, and commercials. Her latest project as a set decorator, THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE (dir. Magnus von Horn), received an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film.

BREAD AND SALT (dir. Damian Kocur), with her production design, was recognized with the Special Jury Award at the Venice International Film Festival. Another recent Polish production featuring her work, ELEPHANT (dir. Kamil Krawczycki), received the Best Film Award in the Microbudget Film Competition at the Polish Film Festival. Ewa also served as the set decorator for WOMAN OF… (dir. Michał Englert and Małgorzata Szumowska). The film was selected for the Main Competition at the Venice International Film Festival.

On the international stage, she worked on the Pakistani blockbuster TEEFA IN TROUBLE (dir. Ahsan Rahim), as well as the German horror film OLD PEOPLE for Netflix, this time as a set decorator. Her film, the Israeli-Polish co-production DELEGATION (dir. Asaf Saban), premiered at Berlinale 2023 in the Generation 14plus section. She also worked as a production designer on two seasons of the TV series DIE WESPE for Sky Deutschalnd. 

In the theatre world, she has collaborated with Teatr Ludowy in Kraków, Teatr im. Ludwika Solskiego in Tarnów, Teatr im. Stefana Jaracza in Łódź, and Teatr Śląski im. Stanisława Wyspiańskiego in Katowice.
