Bio
Wera Englot is a cinematographer with a deep passion for 16mm and 35mm film—both shooting and developing it. She studied intermedia photography at the University of the Arts in Poznań and documentary directing at the Wajda School.
For Wera, working with film goes beyond technique—it’s a fascination, a craft, and an ever-evolving creative journey. She frequently incorporates classic in-camera techniques, such as multiple exposures, to create visually distinctive narratives.
She has collaborated with brands including Żabka, Perła, and YES x Sexed, as well as on music videos for Kuban, Otsochodzi, Natalia Wojas, and Sonia Pisze Piosenki. Her video for Kuban’s Młody Gandolfini was nominated in the Superproduction category at the Polish Music Video Awards 2024.
Her experimental short films have been showcased at international festivals such as Short Waves, Octopus Film Festival, Balkan Can Kino, Golden Grape Short Film Festival, Cinematika Festival, On Art – Dance & Music, ODS EN CORTO, Foca Film Days, “Corti in Tavola” International Film Festival, and The Meihodo International Youth Visual Media Festival.
