Bio

Kuba is a director and screenwriter. His screenplay for his debut full-length feature, BABY BUMP, was one of the three winners of the 2014-2015 edition of the Biennale College – Cinema programme. BABY BUMP won the Special Queer Lion prize at the 72nd International Film Festival in Venice (2015) and the Artistic Vision Award at the 2016 Outfest Los Angeles Film Festival.

His full-length feature, THE ERLPRINCE, won the Young Jury Award at the 2016 Gdynia Film Festival. It premiered in America at the 2017 Slamdance Festival and its European screening took place at the Berlin International Film Festival the same year.  The 2017 Berlinale also saw Kuba win the Baumi Script Development Award, which commemorates producer Karl ‘Baumi’ Baumgartner, for SORRY, POLAND screenplay. At the 2017 Cannes International Film Festival 2017, SORRY, POLAND won the Krzysztof Kieślowski ScripTeast Award for the Best Script from Central and Eastern Europe.

Kuba’s latest production is Netflix TV series INFAMIA, which he co-directed (episode 6, 7, and 8). He also directed one of the episodes from the PLANET SINGLE. EIGHT STORIES series for Canal+Poland. Currently, he is working on another Netflix series project.

His third feature film, LIPSTICK ON THE GLASS, a Polish-German co-production with an international cast, awaits its theatrical release.
