Jakub Burakiewicz

Director of photography working on features, short films, documentaries, and advertising campaigns in Poland and internationally. His recent project FANFIK is a coming-of-age LGBTQ+ feature for Netflix.

Jakub received a Special Prize for Cinematography for his beautiful work on the feature film TRIPLE TROUBLE at the Children’s Film Festival Seattle. This family comedy with detective main plot also gave space for sequences straight from action movies.

The documentary HERBERT, A BARBARIAN IN THE GARDEN with cinematography by Jakub premiered this year at the 18th edition of the Millenium Docs Against Gravity festival. His latest short film, MY SON LOCKS HIMSELF IN THE BATHROOM appeared in the National Competition at the 61st edition of the Kraków Film Festival.
