Bio
Agnieszka Peel-McGregor, known professionally as Bagins, is a screenwriter and director who graduated from UCLA.
Her psychological horror film, STORM, won the NYX Horror Collective Fellowship and was a finalist for the Stowe Story Labs, Stage 32, and Catalyst Studios Empowering Women Screenwriting Competition. Her TV Pilot – a dystopian eco-thriller titled SHADOWODD, was selected as a finalist of Storieroad International and Agnes also received a Talent Development Grant from the New Zealand Film Commission for her dystopian satire, PLATO’S CAVE.
Her short film MILKMAID won a David Lynch award, earning Agnes a full scholarship for his MA in Film in the USA. Following this success, her film LAST TREE STANDING premiered at the SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival, where it competed in the Main Competition for Best Short Film. Garnering over thirty awards across the festival circuit and from professional guilds, the film was also under consideration for the Oscars Short Film Awards in 2020.
She is currently working on her debut feature, THE ROOT PEOPLE – a surreal survival thriller inspired by her short film MILKMAID.
