Filip K. Kasperaszek
A screenwriter, lecturer, and screenplay consultant. He graduated from Columbia University in New York with a Master of Fine Arts degree. He also is a graduate of the Polish Film School in Lodz. He participated in numerous workshops and training including TorinoFilmLab, Sources2, CineQuaNonLab in Mexico, MFI Script 2 Film, Berlinale Talents, TransAtlantic Talent Lab in Reykjavik, and IFP Filmmakers Seminar at Lincoln Center in New York.
Filip is a Hollywood Foreign Press Association Fellow (the organization granting the Golden Globes), and a scholar of the Polish Ministry of Culture and Columbia University. He has lectured in screenwriting at the Polish Film School in Lodz and Scuola Holden in Torino.
Filip has cooperated with TorinoFilmLab, the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw, and The New Horizons Association. A teaching assistant of dramaturgy at Columbia University in New York.
So far Filip has participated in the development of over sixty feature films in the United States, China, and India. Currently, he focuses on working in Europe, mainly on TV projects and scriptwriting with Polish directors. He was a screenplay consultant within the selection for TorinoFilmLab, CineQuaNonLab in Mexico, and Mazovia Film Fund. The New York Independent Film Festival's jury member.
Recently, he wrote the screenplay for several episodes for the first season of the SONY/AXN series ULTRAVIOLET created by Wendy West (dir. Jan Komasa). Filip has several feature film projects in development.
