BIOGRAPHY

Agata’s debut script for TENDERNESS (dir. Emilia Zielonka) was selected for major film festivals around the world and won Best Short Film at Cellu l’art Short Film Festival in Germany and Excellence Award for Best Picture at Busan International Short Film Festival in South Korea. THE REFLECTION based on Agata’s second script was produced by Studio Munka and starred critically-acclaimed actress Agata Buzek.

Agata's following scripts include an animation family movie KLINGERT'S DIVING SUIT and a feature SHIKSE about an unusual friendship between Hasidic woman and her new Polish cleaning lady, rom-com KARMA, crime story NEW YEAR'S EVE, coming-of-age dramedy DADDY'S COOL and book adaptation HARM ME SOMEHOW based on Jakub Żulczyk’s bestseller under the same title. Agata is also honing her television writing skills as a creator of a gangster TV series THE TRIBE for Canal + Poland and a period drama dedicated for the American market.

Agata was a participant of many screenwriting workshops, such as Midpoint TV Launch 2016, Midpoint TV Launch 2017 with Alan Kingsberg as her tutor, Canal + Series Lab in Poland (with Stephen Cleary), Canal + FINN LAB, and the very first edition of Series Mania Writers Campus for Up-and-Coming European Talent where she worked on her project with American showrunner and writer Sarah Treem (IN TREATMENT, HOUSE OF CARDS, THE AFFAIR) as her tutor.
